Façade with structural glazing technology
In response to architects' desire to create a visual impression of a completely glazed body of a building, Aluron developed Vella S, a timber-aluminum façade structure using structural glazing. Specific binders selected by Dow Corning allow for long-term warranty, provide structural tightness, and protect UV radiation and exposure to high temperatures. This system is distinguished by unique aesthetics, light build impression, and a high adaptive capacity in modern construction.
The glazing range in this system is up to 62 mm. In addition, the system also utilizes high thermal and insulation solutions. Vella S presents a combination of modern design and aesthetics.
There are 3 ways of fixing glass in the Vella S system:
- Inner glazing grip
- Glued frame grip
- Point connection to embedded fasteners
